Poor leveling performance

Possible causes:

(1) Low resin content/high viscosity

(2) Low baking temperature (curing in stages)

(3) Short leveling time

(4) Abnormal film thickness (too thick/too thin)

(5) High oil absorption of pigments

(6) Influence of Additives

Proposed solution:

(1) Fix the segmentation factors, add Huanyu HY217 curing accelerator, increase the resin content, and reduce the system viscosity;

(2) When using low-viscosity resins, it is necessary to adjust the resin molecular weight distribution and optimize the curing agent ratio; it is also recommended to add Huanyu HY530 surface modifier.

Poor surface finish

Particles, water stains, oil contamination, fiber contamination, and clouding are present, resulting in uneven gloss, color staining, and a rough surface.

Possible causes:

(1) Machine cleaning materials have not been thoroughly removed;

(2) Raw material contamination/incompatible interference

Proposed solution:

Add HuanYu HY518 anti-fouling agent to eliminate surface tension differences at fouling sites, thereby enhancing the coating’s resistance to contamination. This formulation is suitable for mild soiling or for preventive addition.
