HY20C Outdoor Matting Agent
Brief Description
HY20C is a matting agent specifically designed for outdoor polyester/TGIC powder coating systems (with micro-wax content). It is suitable for polyester-TGIC powder coatings targeting a 60° gloss level of 15° or higher. It offers excellent film appearance, yellowing resistance, and impact resistance. The consumption ratio of matting agent to TGIC is 10:1. Storage Requirements
Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, keeping the container tightly sealed.
Avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures, and high humidity. Keep away from fire and heat sources to prevent caking.
Storage temperature should be kept below 30°C. Shelf life is 12 months. Products exceeding the shelf life can be retested; if the results meet specifications, they are still acceptable for use.Note
- Strengthen control over the powder production process: ensure fast extrusion feeding and maintain a low extrusion temperature to achieve a stable matting effect.
- Fillers and polyesters from different manufacturers, as well as their addition levels, can affect the gloss. The matting agent requires a certain degree of compatibility with other formulation components.
- Adding an appropriate amount of curing accelerator can improve impact strength, but it may cause the gloss to increase or leveling to deteriorate.
