HY21C Outdoor semi-chemical matting agent
Brief Description
HY21C matting agent is specially for outdoor polyester /TGIC powder coating system matting agent, suitable for more than 8 degrees gloss (60°) polyester -TGIC powder coating. It has excellent film appearance, fine surface, smooth, yellowing resistance and impact resistance. The matting agent consumption TGIC is 20:1, the addition amount is small, the cost performance is outstanding, which greatly saves the cost.

Solid content: ≥98%
Product Application
Mix 1–6% of the matting agent (matting agent: TGIC = 20:1) relative to the total designed amount of the formula uniformly with other raw materials, and subject the mixture to co-extrusion. The powder can be produced according to the powder production process. The specific dosage can be determined by experiment.

Storage requirements
The matting agent shall be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place and sealed. Avoid direct sunlight, high temperature, high humidity, and keep it away from fire and heat sources to prevent caking. The storage temperature shall be below 30℃, and the shelf life is 12 months. If stored beyond the shelf life, it can be re-inspected; if the test results meet the requirements, it can still be used.
Warm tips
- Strengthen the powder production process control, extrusion feeding should be fast, extrusion temperature is low, extinction effect is stable.
- Different manufacturers of filler, polyester and the amount of added affect the luster, the matting agent and other formula components need a certain match.
- The appropriate addition of some curing accelerator can improve the impact strength, but may cause the gloss to rise or the smoothness deviation.
- The increase of extinction dose reactivity increases, the coking time becomes shorter, the gloss becomes lower, which has a certain impact on storage, different types of polyester reactivity is different, customers adjust according to the actual situation, pay attention to powder storage. Please do the experiment before use, and then mass production.
