HY25 wax-based outdoor matting agent
Brief Description
HY25 Matting Agent is a universal wax-based matting agent, suitable for polyester-TGIC and hybrid powder coatings requiring a gloss of 25° (at 60°) and above. It provides excellent coating film appearance, good yellowing resistance, and outstanding impact resistance. With a low addition level and high cost-effectiveness, it significantly saves on overall costs. It also has good storage stability and reliable performance.
Typical Properties
Industrial Grade
Appearance:Milky white or light yellow powder
Solid Content:≥98%
Product Application
Add 1~3% of the matt agent (based on the total weight of the formulation) together with other raw materials, mix uniformly, and co-extrude. Follow the standard powder coating manufacturing process. The specific dosage can be determined through experiments.
Product Features
Suitable for general-purpose powder coatings requiring a gloss of 25° (at 60°) and above.
Excellent performance, low dosage, and high cost-effectiveness.
Provides a very smooth and fine coating surface, outstanding yellowing resistance, and good mechanical properties.
Product Packaging
Polyethylene inner bag, kraft paper outer bag. Net weight: 25 kg per bag.
Storage Requirements
The matt agent should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area in sealed containers. Avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures, high humidity, and keep away from sources of ignition and heat to prevent caking. The storage temperature should be below 30°C. The shelf life is 12 months. After the expiration date, the product can be retested; if results meet the requirements, it may still be used.

Reminder:
Strengthen the control of the powder coating production process. Ensure fast feeding to the extruder and maintain a low extrusion temperature to achieve stable matting performance.
Fillers, polyesters from different manufacturers, and their addition levels all affect the gloss. The matting agent and other formulation components need to have a certain degree of compatibility.
Adding an appropriate amount of curing accelerator can improve impact strength, but it may also lead to increased gloss or poor leveling.
As the amount of matting agent increases, wax migration also increases. For dark-colored powders, customers should make adjustments based on actual conditions regarding the effect of wax migration and pay attention to powder storage properties. Please conduct experiments before use and proceed with mass production only after confirming the results.
